The global organic baby shampoo market size is estimated to grow by $148.4 million from 2023-2027, per market research firm Technavio.
The market is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 4.91% during the forecast period.
Analysts attribute this growth spurt to consumer desire for natural and organic baby shampoos driven by anxiety from certain chemicals in regular baby shampoos, namely, sulfates and parabens. Natural shampoos – though costlier – are plant-derived and don't contain these chemicals.
Despite organic baby shampoo’s higher cost due to higher-quality ingredients, people are willing to pay more for peace of mind, analysts say. And the trend sees no sign of slowing.
In fact, the smaller-sized organic baby shampoo bottles, under 500ml, are expected to burgeon in the coming years, per Technavio. These sized bottles were the most popular in 2022. These smaller bottles – which analysts estimate to be worth about $310.73 million in 2017 – were purchased in the US, China, Japan, Germany, and the UK.
