Comments: Belcorp is big believer in the power of technology. Last year, it formed a partnership with Perfect Corp. to create a personalized online shopping experience. The move integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) that allows customers to select from the thousands of products available through its three brands—Ésika, L’Bel and Cyzone brands. Belcorp said it planned to integrate this technology across Latin America. It had already launched virtual try-on technology in Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Panama.
“Beauty and technology are like a marriage made in heaven. Beauty consumers have adopted new technologies such as AI and AR much faster than other verticals,” explained Venkat Gopalan, chief technology, data and digital officer of Belcorp. “The needs of our consumers change constantly and it’s more important than ever to provide them with personalized experiences across all touchpoints. Technology plays a very important role by providing the best experience to tomorrow’s beauty consumers.”
This month Belcorp will host its virtual software development competition—Hackathon 3.0, Metaverse Edition.
Belcorp was recognized for the third year in a row with the Distinctive Socially Responsible Company (DSRC), awarded by Peru 2021, a non-profit civil association that promotes sustainable development, and the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI). The award is based on environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects, aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the sustainable development goals (SDG) of the United Nations.
In Colombia, Cyzone brand was named the official makeup brand for the Festival Estéreo Picnic 2022 music festival.
