Fashion is not something that exists solely between necklines and hemlines. Fashion is in the sky and in the street. According to both Blodgett and Adler, the project was developed by a word-of-mouth connection. Blodgett, a fan of Adler’s decorating ideas, decided to contact his company to develop packaging for her award-winning mineral makeup. Once Adler heard the raves from his staff about Blodgett’s coveted cosmetics, it was a “no-brainer” to work together.
“One of the best parts of this product is the packaging,” Quinta Gaines, manager, global public relations, Bare Minerals, San Francisco, told Happi during a personal product demo. “After you’ve finished the powder, you can save the case and use it to store jewelry or other small items.”

The jar’s cap features the signature 1970s-style chevron print often seen in Adler’s work, in whimsical hues of maroon, fuchsia, olive and orange. The complementary brush handle also utilizes the design to complete the look.
“I believe we’re all beautiful on the inside,” said Adler about the project. “But you might as well do what you can on the outside.”
