90s Flashback: Revlon Black Cherry, Wine With Everything

By Melissa Meisel, Associate Editor | April 1, 2013

Dark lips vamp it up for 2013 so far.

Vintage 90s style rules the runways still going into Fall 2013. And what better to complete the look is a set of dark lips, a la Chanel Vamp. But budget fashionistas can’t always spring for a $34 tube of lipstick. Enter a few Revlon classics.

Both Wine with Everything and Black Cherry by Revlon Super Lustrous - Creme Lipstick can offer a similar look for only $7.99. The former, a casual red/burgundy ideal for daytime; the latter, a deep maroon that takes it up another notch. Both formulations are infused with moisturizers for a smooth feel and a decent amount of longwear.

The packaging is also modernized from its 90s hey-day: thed texture gold ring around the middle is now flat with the brand name Revlon on it; also the top of the cap is clear so you can see what color is inside, a bonus for finding your trusty lipstick in a crowded makeup bag.

Now let’s see some Zinc Pink—another throwback color many remember in a pale pink foil pink—for Summer 2013, Revlon?
