Sephora yesterday appointed Thierry Jaugeas as managing director of Sephora France. Prior to this move, Mr. Jaugeas, was managing director of Sephora Asia. In his new role, Mr. Jaugeas replaces Maciej Szymanski, who has been named president of Sephora China.
Mr. Jaugeas, 49, had been managing director of Sephora Asia since 2005 and was responsible for the retailer’s introduction in China. Prior to that, he served as director of Eastern European operations, concept and development director and financial and administrative director.
During his career with Sephora, Mr. Szymanski, 38, had been managing director of Sephora Eastern Europe, a division which he formed in 1999.
