HBA Global Expo announced that it is supporting two key industry associations in 2009. CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) and ICMAD (Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors) will be part of HBA’s professional development program and complements its mission to provide a leading educational and networking forum for the entire beauty community.
Taking place Sept. 15-17, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, HBA Global Expo (www.hbaexpo.com) is the largest product development event for the cosmetics, personal care, fragrance and well-being industries.
As sponsors of the annual CEW Beauty Awards, HBA met with more than 2,000 CEW members during the Beauty Awards Demonstration in early February.Visitors to the HBA table received current information on HBA’s programming and an exclusive discount to its trade show and educational forum in September.
Throughout the year, HBA also works with CEW to provide its entire membership with beneficial discounts and incentives to its programs and gives them access to industry suppliers who provide products and services to the beauty, fragrance and personal care industries.
With ICMAD, HBA sponsors the Young Designer Competition that recognizes innovative design talent in personal care packaging.The annual competition encourages and develops young creative talent that will help build the future of the cosmetics industry.The winners of this year’s competition will be announced on Wednesday night, Sept. 16, 2009 during HBA Global Expo in New York.
Also at the HBA September event, ICMAD produces a popular conference session called “Building Your Company from Concept to Market,” and is especially geared toward entrepreneurial small- to mid-sized companies.The session also provides useful information on how to survive, as well as thrive during tough economic times.HBA also offers ICMAD members’ special discounts and incentives on all its educational offerings.
