Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. has unveiled proposed architectural renderings of its new $80 million innovation center following the Provo, UT City Council's approval of the company’s plan to purchase one block of 100 West Street—a necessary step in Nu Skin’s plans to connect the expansion project to its corporate high rise.
“We are pleased to be moving forward in our planned development project that will feature a new Innovation Center and expanded downtown campus,” said Truman Hunt, Nu Skin president and chief executive officer.
“This is a significant project that will help us foster an innovative environment to support a continual stream of cutting-edge anti-aging products and compelling business opportunities for our distributors.”
Nu Skin expects to break ground on the expansion project this spring and anticipates completion by the end of 2013. The proposed project will add 147,000 square feet—for a total of nearly 300,000 square feet when combined with the existing high rise. The expanded downtown campus will house approximatley 900 employees, 400 of whom will be relocated to downtown Provo from East Bay, the company said.
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has been tapped as the lead architect on the project. Its clients have included Apple, the National Parks Service and Pixar Animation Studios.
