The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors (ICMAD) celebrated another successful Young Designers Competition, which took place at Twenty Four Fifth in New York City on Oct. 10. The evening’s guests included association members, industry executives and featured keynote speaker Ben Bennett of HATCHBEAUTY.
The annual competition showcases the talents of students studying package design and inspires future creative talent in the beauty industry. Judged by a prestigious panel of cosmetic and personal care packaging design experts, each student received a 30ml bottle, which was donated by East Hill Industries based in Dallas. The criterion was to create the overall packaging concept and brand identity. The winning students were flown to New York City to attend the award dinner and participate in an educational tour of three companies which truly encompass the business of beauty, packaging and design ~ C.O. Bigelow, The Color Association and RPG.
