The Draize Test may be a thing of the past since nearly every cosmetic company on the planet no longer tests products on animals. As for ingredient safety testing, that's another thing altogether. Still, the reduction, and in many cases, elimination of tests hasn't kept activists from awarding prizes in order to reaffirm their own existence.
The latest is Cruelty Free International, which awarded its Leaping Bunny to Molton Brown, a marketer of body and skin care products. The award recognizes thatall of the brand’s products to be free from animal tests under the international Humane Standards, according to CFI. The Leaping Bunny logo will appear on Molton Brown packaging over the coming months.
