May 9, 2013

Q1 also reaches personal record for company.

United-Guardian, Inc.reported that earnings for the first quarter of 2013 set a new company record—a 27% rise to $1.6 million. Sales for the quarter increased 1.6% to $3.9 million.

According to Ken Globus, president of United-Guardian, "We are very pleased that sales of our personal care products increased 14% over last year's first quarter, and sales of our medical and industrial products were both up as well. We are optimistic that sales of our new ‘Lubrajel Natural’ line of natural water-based moisturizers will start to bring in additional revenue by the end of this year. We also will be devoting some of our R&D efforts towards developing new lower-cost forms of Lubrajel that will enable us to expand our sales into geographic markets not currently suitable for our higher-end Lubrajel products."

United-Guardian is a manufacturer of cosmetic ingredients, personal and health care products, pharmaceuticals and specialty industrial products.
