P&G Professional, the away-from-home division of Procter & Gamble, launched Tide Professional Coldwater System, an on-premise laundry program that enables facilities to save as much as $8,700 per year based on water, energy and linen replacement cost savings.
The new Tide Professional Coldwater System includes four products – a near-neutral pH detergent, fabric softener, bleach and whiteness enhancer – that are formulated to work together to deliver clean, soft linens and towels to guests while using significantly less water at colder temperatures than traditional on-premise laundry systems. The advanced formula in the Tide Professional Coldwater System also uses unique enzymes that are specially designed for lower wash temperatures which help effectively break down stains without the need for higher water temperatures. The system’s near-neutral pH formula also protects fabric integrity to keep linens looking newer longer to help reduce linen replacement costs.
“While the significant cost savings that Tide Professional Coldwater can create will be the primary draw for many hospitality customers, the environmental benefits shouldn’t be ignored,” said Kevin Wenzel, associate brand director, global, P&G Professional. “Customers should expect the soft, white linens they’ve come to know from Tide, but with less water usage and lower energy needs, given the lower water temperatures required, that can help lower a facility's operating costs.”
