Lancôme held its fifth annual Genifique Day (Oct. 24 and 25) to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, during which the beauty brand planned to donate $7 directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for every bottle of Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, Genifique Eye Light-Pearl and Genifique Yeux sold.
The brand tapped celebrity makeup artist Mickey Williams to host events at select Lancôme counters around the country to support Genifique Day.
Additionally, the brand continued its social media campaign through the weekend, earmarking up to an additional $20,000 for the cause.
"Thanks to Lancome and other supporters, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases," says Richard Shadyac Jr., president and CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "Our founder Danny Thomas believed that no child should die in the dawn of life. To fulfill this promise, St. Jude depends on initiatives like national Genifique Day to support the life-saving reseach and treatment conducted at the hospital, and ensure that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food."
