Gojo will lease 1.3 million square feet of new space in Wooster, OH to expand manufacturing and distribution operations.
The Gojo Wooster Campus is in addition to the company headquarters in Akron, OH, manufacturing and distribution in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and operations worldwide including those in the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico and France.
With the addition of the Wooster Campus, the maker of Purell Hand Sanitizer anticipates increasing its workforce by 30-50 new jobs within the next year and more than a total of 240 jobs as operations expand over the next several years.
"Gojo expansion has been consistent overtime as our business has grown," said Mark Lerner, president and COO. "We are building capacity in Wooster to accommodate anticipated future growth. We look forward to creating new jobs here for Northeast Ohioans and maintaining our commitment to helping this region grow."
The Wooster Campus is expected to house additional manufacturing capabilities and warehousing. It will take the next six months to a year to update the infrastructure of the facilities and begin operations in Wooster, according to the company.
