StriVectin says it has trademarked Tech Neck, a line of neck products designed to address a very modern concern: tech neck.
More delicate than the skin on the face, the neck is one of the first places to show age, and handheld technologies like smartphones and iPads may be making matters worse by causing wrinkles that can lead to horizontal neck lines and sagging skin known as "tech neck."
Driven by research on modern day skin aggressors and findings showing the average person checks her mobile device approximately 221 times daily, StriVectin set out to "reinforce their longstanding authority in the neck skin care category" by widening its current offerings to include assorted textures and formats that visibly tighten, lift and smooth lines, while fighting the effects of technology on neck skin for a more youthful profile.
Products within the StriVectin Tech Neck line, all of which powered by the brand's proprietary NIA-114 technology, include New TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream, TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream, and Tightening Neck Serum Roller.
This fall, the brand will launch #FightTechNeck, a 360° marketing campaign and in-store activation created to educate consumers about tech neck and the importance of using a product specifically designed for the neck.
"We are firm believers in neck care as necessity," stated StriVectin CEO Joan Malloy. "As a brand perpetually seeking to fill voids in the current innovation landscape, we made it our mission to further our research in a category where we have already achieved #1 status. With the Tech Neck trademark registration, the launch of a new product, TL Advanced Light, and our upcoming campaign, our strategy is to inform consumers about this often overlooked area and that it's never too late to take the 'neck' step. Which, of course, is made easy when armed with proven formulas designed with their ever-changing needs in mind."
