Kryolan Professional Make-Up has opened its first New York City store. Located in the heart of the West Village on Bleecker Street, the 1,100-square-foot space will carry all of Kryolan’s best-selling products like Dermacolor, Aquacolor and more.
In addition, the store will offer classes and seminars in a downstairs classroom beneath the retail space.
“We’re already in 85 countries,” said Claudia Longo, Kryolan USA CEO. “And even though we are located in different cities in the states, we wanted to come to New York because this city has a certain flair. People from all over the world visit. This isn’t just our flagship store. It’s also our showroom and retail facility.”
Kryolan first came to the US in 1977. That first store was in San Francisco, which has become the brand’s US headquarters. Chicago followed in 2010 and Boston in 2013. The company was founded in Berlin in 1945 by theater enthusiast and cosmetic chemist Arnold Langer
