On Tuesday, December 8, 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. ET, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will host a webinar on the Enforcement Policy for Sterilizers, Disinfectant Devices, and Air Purifiers During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency.In addition to PPE, other medical devices used in health care settings—such as certain sterilizers, disinfectant devices, and air purifiers—may help reduce the risk of viral exposure to SARS-CoV-2 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this webinar, the FDA will share information about sterilizers, air purifiers and disinfectant devices—including chemical and physical disinfectants, and ultraviolet (UV) disinfecting devices. Representatives from the FDA and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be available to answer your questions.
FDA is encouraging interested stakeholders to join in the free event; no registration is necessary.
