Inter Parfums, Inc. anticipates net sales for 2022 will be between $925 and $950 million. This represents a 16% increase from last year’s guidance of $810 million.
Jean Madar, chairman and CEO, said the addition of new brands including Ferragamo, Donna Karan and DKNY will be critical drivers to the top line growth.
“We have our first-ever products for Moncler, Moncler Pour Homme and Moncler Pour Femme rolling out to thousands of doors early in the new year,” said Madar. “Entirely new men’s fragrance pillars are launching for Coach, Guess and Boucheron, plus flankers debuting for our largest brands as well as for many others.”
Madar regarded the resumption of international travel as the catalyst for the revival of the company’s duty-free and travel retail business. A reduction in supply chain disruptions, a large proportion of sales by European-based operations to be conducted in the US, and the modest increase in prices effective in 2022 will factor into the growth in the year ahead, Madar said.
The company will once again invest approximately 21% of net sales on advertising and promotion to support its brands and gain market share. It will also be on the hunt for compatible brands to enrich its fragrance portfolio. Its newly-established operations base in Italy, headquarters and management in Paris and New York give the company bandwidth to grow new fragrance franchises, Madar said.
