Procter & Gamble will spend $501 million to expand its fabric care product manufacturing site in Lima, OH. The investment will expand manufacturing and warehousing space to meet consumer demand for laundry detergent and related products. Installation of the new manufacturing line and facility expansion will begin this month. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
“We are excited to explore the potential expansion of our operations in Lima, in order to better meet demand for our products and serve our consumers," said Lima Plant Manager John Shaver. "We are grateful to the Lima community, a place we have called home since 1968, for their continued support, and we look forward to many years of partnership and growth.”
P&G began operations in Allen County more than 50 years ago and has expanded multiple times. It currently has 749 full-time employees and about 600 contract employees at the local operation.
