After eras dominating the beauty space since her 1991 debut, the makeup artist turned entrepreneur Bobbi Brown is starting a new venture into hair care.
Brown’s direct-to-consumer beauty company Jones Road will embark on its first collaboration with hairstylist and fellow campaign advocate Hervé Claude to launch Universal Hair Balm. The debut product will be an all-in-one styling cream containing a blend of plant-derived proteins and amino acids capped off with a fragrance entailing notes of white patchouli, agarwood and orange blossom. It will retail for $34 and be available on the brand’s official website on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
The product is reportedly meant to be a quick-fix for consumers on-the-go to smooth away frizzies and fly-aways. Brown reportedly uses the product on wet hair and lets the product air-dry to serve as a preventative barrier against frizz, a current trending hairstyle according to Spate.
In February 2021, Jones Road announced its parlay into skin care. The skin care lineup includes a Miracle Cream, eye cream, an oil stick and a melting balm called Hippie Stick, which was created in partnership with Private Label Select, a manufacturer that specializes in organic personal care products.
