Seiwa Kasei introduces a unique function and the data of Amitose DGA of original vitamin C derivative.
Amitose DGA (INCI: Bis-Glyceryl Ascorbate, glycerin, water), a best-selling product in North America. It is a super stable vitamin C derivative with less color change and viscosity drop.
Amitose DGA has another unique moisturizing effect on skin related to skin barrier function named Cornified cell Envelope.
Cornified Cell Envelop (CE) is the membrane structure on corneocytes. It is known that this structure plays an important role for skin barrier function per the latest research.
If the CE is broken, skin barrier function decreases, resulting in rough skin because lamella structure can't function properly.
Amitose DGA can increase Involucrin and Loricrin, components of CE. It is the unique function for bis-glyceryl ascorbate as ascorbic acid and glycerin are not effective.
Seiwa Kasei confirms that Amitose DGA can increase capacitance on skin and reduce wrinkles as demonstrated in-vivo data below.
