Ouai CEO Colin Walsh has been appointed head of Procter & Gamble’s Specialty Beauty division. P&G acquired Ouai in 2021. Before that, Walsh was CEO of DevaCurl.
He succeeds Chris Heiert, who will retire next month after nearly 25 years with Procter & Gamble.
“Chris’ decades-long contributions to P&G Beauty are simply remarkable, and I’m especially grateful for his leadership these past 18 months to successfully bring together our Specialty brands,” said P&G Beauty CEO Alex Keith.
The Specialty Brands Division includes:
• Farmacy
• First Aid Beauty
• Mielle Organics
• Ouai
• Tula Skincare
Each of these brands posted sales gains of nearly 50% last year.
According to Keith, Walsh brings a wealth of business leadership experience and proven results across different specialty beauty businesses and channels.
“I’m thrilled for Colin to take on a bigger role in leading Ouai and all of our specialty brands to the next stage of growth,” added Keith.
In his new role, Walsh will work closely with each brand’s current CEO, including Savannah Sachs for Tula, Mina Chae for Farmacy and John Drake for First Aid Beauty. Walsh remains CEO of Ouai.
