Naples Soap Company brought in a boatload of cash this Thanksgiving weekend.
The health and wellness brand, which offers high-quality skin and hair care products throughout the US, said in-store sales on Black Friday set an all-time one-day sales record increasing 63% over last year.
Company officials attribute the surge to the increase from eight stores open last year increasing to 13 stores open this year. Officials say the remainder of the increase is due to same-store sales also rising 14% over last year.
In addition, Black Friday e-commerce order count also increased by 15%. Naples Soap significantly outperformed the national average for Black Friday sales across all retailers, which only increased 7.5% over last year per Adobe Analytics as reported by CNBC.
“The credit really goes to our entire team and channel partners. This extends all the way to our supply chain, marketing team, the enthusiastic representatives in our locations, the quality of our products, and all the people and processes that made everything work,” said Deanna Wallin, Naples Soap Company founder and CEO. “We expect that we will continue to have an exceptionally strong Christmas season and that we will finish the year very strong.”
Cyber Monday e-commerce sales also rose 61% over last year due primarily to a dramatic order count increase of 133%. This shattered the national average over all retailers which increased a respectful 9.6% according to Adobe Analytics as reported by Forbes.
Collectively, e-commerce sales for the five-day period between Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday increased 25% while the order count during the period rose by 60%. This is compared to national online sales during the Thanksgiving weekend across all retailers increasing only 3.1% while the number of consumers making purchases actually decreased according to Reuters.
