Sol de Janeiro is having its time in the sun.
The beauty brand came in No. 1 of Fast Company’s Top 10 beauty companies list and ranked No. 39 out of the publication’s Top 50 most innovative companies.
According to the outlet, Google searches for its perfume mists rose nearly 30% year over year in 2023. What’s more, the brand’s social media presence has kept them at the forefront of consumer attention; one bottle is reportedly sold every seven seconds worldwide.

To date, the company has amassed 1 billion TikTok views using the hashtag #soldejaneiro and north of 825 million views for the hashtag #cheirosa. A whopping 75% of the brand’s highest-viewed TikTok videos features its mists alone.
Much of this social media fanfare stemmed from organic influencer mentions from the likes of Alix Earle and JoJo Siwa, to name a couple.
