The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) will host its mid-year meeting from June 10-12, 2024 at the UVA Darden Sands Family Grounds in Arlington, VA.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for industry leaders to network as they discuss core legislative, regulatory, international, sustainability and outreach issues in the cleaning products arena.
New this year is general education sessions. These sessions will be in-person only and a nominal fee will be charged to cover venue costs. All in-person attendees are welcome to attend the standing committee meetings held each day. Committee meetings will also be available virtually.
The meeting’s general sessions will include Beyond the Bottle: Insights on the Consumer's Journey Towards Sustainable Products. Sustainable concentrates and refills are a growing part of the US cleaning products space. ACI’s future leaders took on a consumer insights initiative to facilitate a deeper understanding of consumer attitudes, behaviors and needs with sustainably positioned concentrate and refill cleaning products.
Their findings may help increase knowledge around sustainable cleaning products, uncover actionable insights for ACI member companies and support the overall growth and success of sustainable initiatives in cleaning products, officials said.
Beyond the Bottle speakers will include Mary Czaplicki, senior scientist II/microbiology laboratory manager, GOJO Industries, Inc. and Arianna Fanning, global segment manager, IFF and Broc Martin, director of business insights, Arylessence, Inc.
The meeting will be followed by a legal panel with New York City-based law firm Arnold & Porter.
Set to deliberate a spectrum of predominant subjects within the cleaning products sector, the focal point of these discussions will be litigation issues related to greenwashing and packaging as well as bans or significant constraints on trace contaminants.
The Legal Panel will include firm partners Stacey Halliday, Brandon Neuschafer and Raqiyyah Pippins.
