Third-year student created an animated illustration for Bulgari's Allegra Baciami EDP showcasing the bottle as a lens representing the brand and juice.

Bulgari partnered with the Fashion Institute of Technology to create a design challenge for undergraduate and graduate students to create art inspired by Bulgari’s Allegra Baciami eau de parfum. The project marked first time that Bulgari collaborated with a higher education institution.
The winner was third-year illustration major Jessie Xu. She created an animated illustration showcasing the Baciami bottle as a lens to represent the brand and perfume.
According to Xu, the animated illustration shows multiple aspects of the perfume.
“As I researched about Bulgari and looked at their previous illustrations, I noticed a lot of previous Bulgari works contain a geometric feel. Hence, I chose to do a clean painterly look that emphasizes shape,” she said.
The animation, according to Xu, attempts to capture the fervor of Italian romance, the scent of perfume itself and Bulgari’s heritage.
The second and third place winners in the challenge were Alice Chekunova, a second-year textile/surface design major, and LinYin Liu, a second-year Illustration major, respectively.
