Cognis and its subsidiary Laboratoires Sérobiologiques showcased a broad portfolio of cosmetic materials at Personal Care Ingredients Asia, which was held March 14-16 in Guangzhou, China. Some of these products included high-performing solubilizers that are designed to provide a pleasant feel, both during and after product application.
Cognis also promoted a light and versatile emollient suitable for face, body, sun care or color cosmetics products. The emollient offers positive stimulation and fulfills the desire for a differentiated sensorial experience with a multi-dimensional softness.
Cognis also showed attendees a conditioning concept which offers good skin and hair conditioning effects in one. Its micronized lipid system delivers intensive conditioning effects for hair care concepts and excellent sensory properties in body wash products.
Also at its booth, Cognis presented a whitener with a high capacity to decrease melanogenesis and a differentiating mechanism compared to traditional direct tyrosinase inhibitors.
The new product is said to be well-tolerated, good for daily use, will not impact the color of formulations and is thereby meeting the market demand for a new generation of skin lighteners. Finally, Cognis has developed a high-performance thickening agent designed especially for difficult-to-thicken surfactant systems. More info: www.cognis.com.
