It happens only once…the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) will celebrate its 100th anniversary Dec. 7-11 in Fort Lauderdale, FL at its 2014 Annual Meeting and 100-Year Anniversary Celebration at The Marriott Harbor Beach Resort. Past leaders will be honored for the work they did to build the consumer and institutional formulated products industry and current leaders will share their visions for the future.
On Dec. 8, Doug Stephens, author of “The Retail Revival: Re-Imagining Business for the New Age of Consumerism” will kick off the event. Following the general session, “Bringing Together Federal & State Leaders: Priorities & Perspectives on Chemical Policy Management” is a program of legislative experts ready to prognosticate on the future of TSCA and other legislation. At cocktail hour, the party begins in earnest with Suppliers Night Karaoke festivities at cabanas on the beach.
Back by popular demand on Dec. 9 is a breakfast panel discussion, this time featuring executives representing manufacturers, suppliers, marketers and retailers exploring “A Sustainable Future for the Supply Chain.” Committee and division meetings end at 1pm that day and conference attendees will have the afternoon for “community building” – literally. Starting a new CSPA tradition, there will be opportunities to participate in a community service project with Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, attendees can learn cooking tricks of the trade from a nationally known chef, or simply relax and rejuvenate on the golf course, tennis court or poolside.
Dec. 10 features division programs and committee meetings. When the sun goes down, the music starts and the anniversary celebration party gets going under the stars.
