NEW ZEALAND: Groupe GM, a guest amenity players, has signed a new exclusive partnership with Paris Groupe Ltd. in Australia and New Zealand. Since its inception in 1972, Groupe GM has expanded internationally as a part of its plans to consolidate its presence in Asia Pacific where its representation is already well-established in Cambodia, China, Japan, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Macao. It also fits in the group’s strategy to expand its international development beyond the current network, which already comprises more than 70 countries across all continents.

Paris Groupe will be headed by Jason Williams along with business partners Brian Tuia and Daren Manks.

Australian and New Zealand hotels are in demand, with record levels of international visitors and domestic overnight travel last year. Australia’s international visitor trips are forecasted to grow 6.2%, and visitor nights 5.9%, on average each year during the next three years as more. More than 7,000 new Australian hotel rooms were added in 2018, and growth in new capacity is forecast to continue, with another 33,000 new rooms expected to be added over the next three years.
