Procedure | |
In an appropriately sized vessel, combine Karite CP, caprylic/capric triglycerides, Phytowax olive 18L57, Meadowestolide and Floraesters 20. Gently heat and mix until all of the solids have melted and the batch is a uniform, clear liquid. Add the Pemulen TR-2 and Aristoflex Eco T to the batch while maintaining heat and mixing. Continue mixing and heating until all of the powders are uniformly dispersed. In a separate vessel, heat the water to 60-65°C. Once the water is to temperature, add to phase A. With mixing, allow the batch to slowly cool down to room temperature. Once the batch is at room temperature, add phase C materials individually. Once all of phase C has been added to the batch, adjust pH using sodium hydroxide to 6.5-7.5. | |
