Walgreens launched an in-house skincare line called Walgreens Premium Skin Care. The retailer maintains each formula is comparable to best-selling products on the market. Each product in the nine-item collection retails for less than $23. Prices range from $8.99 for Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% cream to $22.99 for a Body Bum Cream. Other products in the line include Hydrating Lip Mask, Moisturizing Facial Cream and Super Invisible SPF 40. Walgreens maintains the collection mimics some of the beauty industry’s best-sellers, like The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension Brightening Cream and Sol de Janeiro’s Bum Bum Cream.
“As we sharpen our focus in areas such as women’s health and beauty, our new premium skincare line is a game-changer for those who crave luxury but are mindful of their budget,” said Heather Hughes, group vice president and general merchandise manager for health and beauty at Walgreens. “Compared to the current price of similar premium skin care products listed on brand websites, the online prices of our new Walgreens premium skin care products are at least 50% less expensive, making high-quality skin care more accessible. It’s our way of delivering personalized solutions that don’t break the bank and we invite our customers to see for themselves.”
According to Hughes, the collection is a game-changer for budget-conscious consumers seeking luxury products. Walgreens says it will expand the line in the months ahead.
For now, the line includes:
