Biotech company says it has overcome the stability and delivery challenges of growth factors EGF and FGF-2.

Biotech company Core Biogenesis has made its foray into the personal care and cosmetics categories with two active ingredients: Peauvita and Peauforia. The advanced growth factors offer unprecedented stability and efficacy and represent a significant leap forward in skincare innovation, according to the company, which is based in Strasbourg, France.
Core Biogenesis uses its proprietary bioproduction technology to manufacture recombinant proteins. The company was founded in 2020 by Dr. Chouaib Meziadi, CSO, and Alexandre Reeber, CEO.
Leveraging its patent-pending plant production process, Core Biogenesis says it has mastered the art of producing bioactive compounds, such as peptides and proteins, within the seeds of Camelina sativa plants. These proteins are expertly fused to the surface of oleosomes—natural oilseed reservoirs—ensuring the stabilization of actives and enhancing their delivery to the skin.
“Our focus has been on growth factors, essential proteins naturally found in the skin that diminish with age, contributing to the aging process,” said Alexandre Reeber, president and CEO of Core Biogenesis. “Through our innovative technology, we’ve successfully stabilized two of the most sought-after growth factors, EGF and FGF-2, which promise enhanced efficacy for skincare brands and, ultimately, the consumer.”
Peauvita (EGF – Oleosome) and Peauforia (FGF2 – Oleosome) have undergone rigorous placebo-controlled clinical trials involving 60 participants, utilizing only a 1% incorporation rate of each active. The third-party study revealed that Peauvita significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while boosting skin firmness in just 14 days. Moreover, Peauforia was shown to diminish melanin in hyperpigmented areas and restore the skin barrier within the same timeframe, said the company. Together, these actives offer a comprehensive solution targeting the four primary signs of aging.
“The clinical results were truly remarkable, with noticeable improvements in just 14 days,” commented Tony Abboud, head of cosmetics at Core Biogenesis. “I am confident that skincare brands worldwide will be eager to incorporate peauvita and peauforia into their upcoming formulations.”
To support the launch, the company has established a robust sales network across the US.
