Consumers can check off their shopping lists while keeping shipping materials and plastic packaging waste out of landfills and incinerators with zero waste boxes.

As the online shopping season picks up, households will be flooded with deflated air cushions, plastic mailers and single-use poly bags.
TerraCycle, an international leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste, is offering a convenient solution. With zero waste boxes, consumers can check off their shopping lists while keeping shipping materials and plastic packaging waste out of landfills and incinerators.
E-commerce generates nearly five times more packaging waste than traditional retail due to the rise in online shopping and the need for individual packaging for each delivery. This surge in plastic waste poses environmental challenges, as much of the shipping material isn’t accepted through curbside recycling programs.
“Online shopping offers convenience, but it also leads to waste accumulating in our homes,” said Tom Szaky, founder and CEO of TerraCycle. “With our Zero Waste Boxes, anyone can easily and responsibly dispose of shipping materials and plastic packaging throughout the upcoming holiday season and beyond.”
Consumers can prepare for the busy online shopping season with these solutions:
Shipping Materials Zero Waste Box – recycle packaging materials from online orders, such as stretch and bubble wrap, label backing, and tape dispensers; and
Plastic Packaging Zero Waste Box – can collect and recycle all other flexible and rigid plastic packaging components, including plastic shopping bags, plastic clamshells and windows, and more.
When full, the boxes are returned to TerraCycle for recycling using the affixed prepaid shipping label. All accepted waste is guaranteed to be recycled into raw materials that can be used to make new products.
