US 12,653,769 B2 (Nicholas David Stebbins, David Chan); L’Oreal, Paris, has patented a cosmetic composition for skin brightening that combines compounds of thiopyridinone with one or more UV boosters, specifically ethylhexyl methoxycrylene and diethyl syringylidenemalonate, to improve the photostability of the active thiopyridinone compounds.
