Listerine is looking to close the gap when it comes to the diversity of dentistry within the Black community.

The oral care brand has partnered with Compound, a creative agency that celebrates and elevates Black culture through breakthrough ideas and impassioned collaborations, to create the Whoa Collection, which features a limited-edition Listerine Cool Mint Antiseptic Mouthwash bottle with custom art created by King Saladeen.

While more than 12% of the nation’s population is Black, less than 4% of dentists identify as such, according to the brand. A portion of the proceeds from The Whoa Collection will directly benefit Increasing Diversity in Dentistry, a growing non-profit focused on the development, mentorship and retention of Black dentist professionals.

In addition to the package, Grammy-award winning producer Thundercat produced a track, available on Soundcloud, that marries Listerine’s “whoa feeling” with the sounds of swishing, cap twists, pours and more.

The limited-edition Whoa Collection is available for purchase at Target.

Listerine is part of Kenvue, which was ranked No. 6 in Happi's 2023 Top 50 Report.
