LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault Tops Elon Musk as the Richest Person in the World

At $190.7 billion, Arnault is ahead of Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, according to Forbes.

LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault tops the Forbes Billionaires List as the world’s richest person. Arnault surpassed Elon Musk on his way to the summit. 

The LVMH CEO's net worth, according to Forbes, is $190.7 billion, placing him above Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates.

Arnault’s rise to the top is due in large part to the stellar performance of LVMH during the pandemic. Luxury fashion resisted the economic downturn felt during the pandemic, with LVMH having reported a revenue of $17 billion in Q1 2021 – an increase of 32 percent year over year.

Furthermore,  LVMH recently recorded revenue of $19.5 billion in the first quarter of 2022, up 29% compared to the same period in 2021.

LVMH Beauty brands include: Guerlain, Acqua di Parma, Parfums Christian Dior, Givenchy Paris, Perfumes Loewe, Benefit Cosmetics, Make Up For Ever, Kenzo Parfums, Fresh, KVD Vegan Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Fenty Beauty and Sephora.
