Linda Chen took over of the company after the passing of her husband and Markwins Beauty Brands (MBB) founder Eric Chen in 2021. Orville and wife Heidi Thompson are Co-Owners and Co-CEOs of Scentsy fragrance company. Scentsy creates a variety of fragrance products from home and room waxes and oils, to cleaning and body care products. Orville and Heidi rescued the company form bankruptcy in 2004 by purchasing the company from its original founders. The Thompson’s have grown the company from a small family business to a 73-acre facility. Trottier takes over as CEO of the Group following the prior CEO’s and co-owners Pierre-Louis Delapalme and Rupert Schmid. Trottier joins Biologique Recherche after 19 years with Estée Lauder. He started working as the Brand Manager to the MAC Cosmetics division and later served as Global President of the Jo Malone London and Darphin Paris division of Estée Lauder. Trotter also worked with L’Oreal helping to develop MKG.

Uotani is the first President to be appointed from outside the company, appointed in a time of urgency to rejuvenate the company. Uotani as over 30 years of experience in marketing and management. Prior to Shiseido, Uotani served as CMO and CEO to Coca-Cola Japan, developing the ‘hybrid model’ leadership to leverage global and Japanese global strengths. He also serves as President of Japan Cosmetic Industry Association, Director of Japan Marketing Association and the Japan Business Federation and serves as a board member to the Columbia Business School Japan Alumni Club. Melaleuca serves hundreds of thousands of households in 20 countries and territories across the globe, and VanderSloot has overseen the development of more than 450 wellness products. Before his time at Melaleuca, he worked at two Fortune 500 companies, serving as a Regional Vice President at Automated Data Processing (ADP) before becoming Vice President at Cox Communications. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University.
Carla Vernón | CEO, The Honest Co.
Vernón is current CEO and Board Director for The Honest Co, developer of award-winning baby and beauty products. Vernón joined Honest in 2023 becoming the first Afro-Latino/a CEO of a U.S. publicly traded company. Prior to Honest, Vernón served as VP of Consumables Categories for Amazon, overseeing Household, Beauty, Wellness, Baby, Food and Beverage, and technology development categories. She also spent time at P&L serving General Mills in various leadership positions. Right before joining Honest, Vernón worked General Mills’ Natural & Organic Division as Operating Unit President. With over a decade of experience, Warnery currently serves as CEO of Beiersdorf, being appointed from his position on the Executive Committee. Prior to Beiersdorf, Warnery worked at Sanofi for five years as Vice President and Senior Vice President of the Global Consumer Health Care Division. Previously, Wentworth also served as President and CEO of Accredo, a specialty pharmacy under Medco. Wentworth also spent five years at Mary Kay serving as Senior Vice President of Human resources and President of its international business.
