Hidrahair Seal SE MB offers immediate repair of up to 97% of split ends.

To repair split ends and spare those reluctant to get a haircut from the dreaded scissors, Chemyunion has introduced Hidrahair Seal SE MB, an active ingredient developed to repair split ends.
With a sealing action, Hidrahair Seal SE MB offers immediate repair of up to 97% of split ends caused from exposure to mechanical, chemical and environmental factors, such as excessive brushing, frequent use of heat tools, chemical treatments and ultraviolet radiation.
The presence of these fissures in the hair fiber directly impacts the health and beauty of the hair, resulting in: a dry and brittle appearance; difficulty in combing and styling; loss of shine and softness; increased frizz; and breakage and thinning of the strands.
The technology behind Hidrahair Seal SE MB combines a polysaccharide obtained through a fermentation process (pullulan), a disaccharide (trehalose), an amino acid (arginine), and an organic acid (lactic acid), in an aqueous system with propanediol. This synergy of ingredients allows the formation of a bioadhesive, flexible and uniform film that seals damaged ends, improving the texture and strength of the hair fiber.
There is reduction of fiber breakage after brushing by up to 2.6 times and an immediate reduction in frizz and volume, with effects lasting up to six hours.
The sealing of split ends in the hair fibers was evaluated using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), model 6460LV (JEOL). The study involved capturing images of the surface of hair fibers treated with the active ingredients to demonstrate the formation of films created by their application on the fibers.
