US 12,653,771 B2; Misook Lee, Incheon, South Korea, has patented a composition for remedying an ingrown fingernail or toenail. It is comprised a siloxane resin including an epoxy siloxane resin, an acrylate-based compound and a photoinitiator. The composition works by generating an inverse curl in the direction opposite to the curved direction of the ingrown nail upon application and curing, providing a corrective effect without the need for a separate corrective device or surgical operation.

The formulation is optimized to prevent the cured material from separating from the nail surface, maximizing the degree of curl, preventing post-curing residues and controlling reaction heat, according to the patent literature.
