Coty has launched its new Adidas Vibes collection. The beauty giant says consumer testing shows the six eau de parfums (EDPS) are proven to elicit positive emotions.
Coty renewed its long-term license agreement with Adidas in 2023.
The scents are grouped in three themes—Power Up, Relax and Escape. The EDPs are: Full Recharge (cedar leaf and clary sage), Happy Feels (grapefruit extract and jasmine), Chill Zone (lavender and vanilla), Get Comfy (vanilla and mandarin), Energy Drive (cardamom and spicy pink pepper) and Spark Up (sweet orange and black pepper).
Energy Drive and Full Recharge are more masculine, while Happy Feels and Spark Up are more feminine, according to Coty. Chill Zone and Get Comfy are gender neutral.
The formula is vegan and has upcycled alcohol.
The perfumers who created Adidas Vibes are Gabriela Chelariu (Get Comfy), Ilias Ermenidis (Chill Zone), Fabrice Pellegrin (Energy Drive), Emilie Coppermann (Full Recharge), Marypierre Julien (Happy Feels) and Frank Voelkl (Spark Up).
The cap contains at least 96% of post-consumer recycled plastic and the bottle is 25% recycled glass. The fragrances are available in 100ML, 50ML and 30ML bottles.
Each fragrance was tested on consumers. Coty shared these results:
• 75% “Boost my energy” – Energy Drive
• 80% “Improves my sense of well being” – Full Recharge
• 71% “Makes me feel more relaxed” – Chill Zone
• 86% “Inspired a feeling of comfort” – Get Comfy
• 79% “Had a positive impact on my mood” – Happy Feels
• 87% “Boosts my mood – Spark Up
Coty has tapped ambassadors to promote Vibes—singer/songwriter Ava Max, gymnast Nia Dennis and rising athlete Sasha Zhoya.
“In our fast-paced lives, we often overlook the importance of being in the moment, to truly ‘feel the vibe.’ The adidas Vibes collection harnesses the transformative power of scent to help us reconnect with ourselves,” said Stefano Curti, chief brands officer for Consumer Beauty at Coty. “Each fragrance fosters a positive influence on our mood and enhances our overall wellbeing. By merging cutting-edge fragrance formula with the ‘zeitgeist’, we at Coty keep innovating and pushing the boundaries in the world of fragrance.”
