Troutman of EPA To Lead Keynote at PCPC Science Symposium & Expo

Conference will take place Sept. 16-17 in Arlington, VA.

Douglas Troutman, assistant administrator, Office of Chemical Safety & Pollution Prevention (OCSPP), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will address attendees as the keynote at the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) Science Symposium & Expo on Sept. 16.

Troutman will lead the session: “Safer Chemistry & NAMs: What’s New from EPA” exploring how advances in science are helping shape the future of chemical reviews, support innovation and reduce reliance on animal testing.

He has over two decades of experience in environmental policy and chemical safety regulation. In his role at the agency, Troutman oversees the regulation of pesticides, including managing the Toxic Control Substances Act (TSCA).

Prior to his role at the EPA, Troutman served as interim CEO and lobbyist at the American Cleaning Institute.

PCPC Science Symposium

Microbiology sessions include preservation in sunscreen; real-life contamination case study; micro exemptions for low-risk products; and lessons from food microbiology.

In addition to the Microbiology track, attendees will hear the latest updates across Environmental Science, Quality, Safety, FDA compliance, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and more.
