Hormel, the bacon company, is touting a mask that is scented like, well, what else—bacon.
The company's "Black Label Breathable Bacon" features the latest in “pork-scented technology” with two-ply multi-fiber cloth, said the firm.
Consumers can enter to win a mask until Oct. 28 at www.BreathableBacon.com. Hormel will also give back to hunger relief by donating one meal to Feeding America for every request on www.BreathableBacon.com, up to 10,000 meals.
"We're continually focused on innovation – from new products, to marketing and distribution – all in an effort to deliver new and exciting ways to experience and enjoy Black Label Bacon," Nick Schweitzer, senior brand Manager at Hormel Black Label Bacon, said in a statement.
The mask isn’t the first foray this food company has made into products that are used outside a frying pan. Others have included The Black Market, billed as multisensory virtual reality experience; a musical experience using the sounds of bacon; a bacon-fueled motorcycle.
