Estee Lauder Cos., New York, NY, named Janet Cook to the newly created position of president, North America, Estee Lauder Inc.
Ms. Cook joined the company in 1977 as an account executive and is currently senior vice president and general manager of Estee Lauder North America. She will be responsible for all brand activities in Canada, the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Additionally, the company's Clinique Laboratories Inc. unit named Eunice Valdivia to the newly created position of president of North America, and named Kim Fiore senior vice president and national sales manager.
Ms. Valdivia, who joined the company in 1969, currently serves as executive vice president of global marketing and finance. Ms. Valdivia will oversee sales, promotion, marketing services, brand operations and global sales education. Ms. Fiore has been with company since 1989, and is currently based in Dallas as regional vice president. She will relocate to New York.
Philip Shearer, group president, The Estee Lauder Companies Inc., will also gain responsibility for Clinique in the areas of global marketing, finance and Clinique International.
All appointments are effective January 1, 2003.
