With a stable of celebrity scents to its name, you'd think Coty would be hot on the trail of pop star Lady Gaga to sign her to a fragrance deal.
But all the rumors are false, according to company executives.Executives at Coty Inc. denied a report circulating online that the company has signed a fragrance deal with Lady Gaga.
“I know nothing of this project,” Steve Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing for the firm’s Coty Beauty division told Women's Wear Daily. “It is a totally false rumor.”
Until now, Gaga’s involvement in beauty has been limited to spokeswoman for the MAC AIDS Fund. She worked with MAC Cosmetics to create a signature Viva Glam lipstick in a “bubble-gummy” pink shade, which hit stores in February.
