• La Prairie: Recently made several senior-level personnel announcements within the global marketing department in New York City.
Peter Gladel has been appointed VP, global brand marketing, a newly created position. With this title, Gladel is responsible for strategic marketing, brand development and consistent messaging for La Prairie on a global level. He joined La Prairie in 2003. Prior to La Prairie, Gladel held various marketing positions with L’Oréal and Coty Beauty.
Jeanne Chinard is now global creative director, also a newly created position. Chinard is responsible for creating, communicating, and implementing the overall creative strategy, direction and vision of the brand. She brings to La Prairie a wealth of experience as both a copywriter and an art director, with previous positions at Ayer, Young & Rubicam and the Estée Lauder Companies. While with Estée Lauder Companies, Chinard managed the creative efforts of Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger, Prescriptives International and Donna Karan International.
Belinda Schwart was named director, creative operations, reporting directly to Chinard. Schwart is responsible for managing art, graphics, copy and promotional material projects. Schwart brings to La Prairie more than 14 years of experience as a project manager in the cosmetics industry, most recently overseeing North America sales operations marketing for Clinique.
Sandy Cordero has been named director, operational marketing. In this role, Cordero will build and implement strategies to meet the corporate objectives for sales goals and operational efficiencies. Cordero joins La Prairie after 20 years with the Estée Lauder Companies, where she had held various operational marketing positions within Estée Lauder and Prescriptives brands.
In addition to the new hires, several North America team members segued to the global marketing department. This includes Sharon Osen, SVP, global brand strategy; Holly Genovese, VP, training & motivation; Jaime Maser, VP, PR; Myriam Dupere, merchandising director; Donna Ford, director, product development; and Ye Jin Kim, design director.
Along with Gladel, Chinard and Cordero, the aforementioned staff members all report directly to Lynne Florio, global brand president, La Prairie. Kim will report directly to Chinard, according to the company.
