Inolex named Daria C. Long as vice president. It also appointed Claudio Carrara as vice president, sales for Latin America and Southeast USA within the Personal Care division; and welcomed Dr. Yingxia He as a claims substantiation scientist.
As vice president at Inolex, Long will spearhead a number of initiatives in sales and marketing associated with the company’s global expansion. Drawing on her knowledge of the personal care and cosmetic ingredients sectors, she will be responsible for identifying, developing, and enhancing applications and channels for Inolex’s growing product lines, according to the company. She brings 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, product development and strategic planning in the specialty chemicals field. She has particular depth in the personal care and cosmetic ingredients sectors, with more than 20 in top level positions at: 3V, Botaneco, International Specialty Products and Rhodia.
Carrara joins Inolex from Arizona Chemicals, where he was sales manager, Americas, for Specialty Polymers. With a career spanning over 18 years, he brings knowledge in the personal care and consumer products markets.
As claims substantiation scientist, Dr. He will create a world-class claims program at Inolex, ensuring that its ingredients provide advanced performance and consumer benefits that personal care companies expect, said the company. Dr. He will validate claims for Inolex’s green chemistry products, alternative preservative technologies, sun care ingredients and naturally sourced exotic ingredients. This new substantiation program will allow Inolex’s customers to highlight ingredient technologies in their label-claims and their consumer marketing strategies, it contends. Dr. He is an expert in claims substantiation in the personal care industry, spending most her career in this role at companies such as Croda and Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
