Sun Products took top honors yesterday in two laundry categories in the TNS Product of the Year Awards. All Mighty Pacs was recognized as the Product of the Year in the laundry packs category, while Surf Liquid won the Product of the Year in the liquid laundry category following a TNS consumer survey of product innovation by over 50,000 consumers. The brands accepted the award yesterday during a special ceremony in New York City.

All Mighty Pacs were introduced in 2012 to deliver the same cleaning efficacy and stain removal benefits that consumers expect from the All brand in a convenient, easy-to-use single dose pack. The packs are sealed in a water-soluble film that dissolves to release active detergents throughout the wash, resulting in laundry that is clean and fresh.
First introduced as a powdered detergent in the late 1980s, Surf made a huge splash in the laundry category among those who want great scents and freshness at a value, according to Sun. In 2012, Surf introduced that same freshness and value to a new generation of consumers in a liquid form offering three scents: Spring Burst, Aloha Splash and Sparkling Ocean.
“Consumers these days are looking for convenience and reliability. With Surf Liquid, consumers know they will get a fresh scent that their families love in an easy-to-pour liquid,” said Bridgette Miller, director of laundry value brands, Sun Products. “Surf Liquid is also affordable, which is particularly important in today’s economic climate where moms are looking for the best ways to keep their clothes clean and fresh at a value.”
Operating in 28 countries, Product of the Year is the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation in consumer-packaged goods. This year is the fifth time that Product of the Year was conducted in the US, with more than 50,000 American shoppers voting on products in a survey conducted by TNS, the world’s largest custom research agency.
