The Lilumia Makeup Brush Cleaning Device ($149) is the first device to the beauty market that cleans up to six makeup brushes at once, according to the company. Like a washing machine for makeup brushes, the Lilumia rids makeup tools of the grime, bacteria and buildup preventing future breakouts and ensuring a flawless makeup application.
So, how does it work? You insert your dirty makeup brushes with bristles facing down into provided slots in the center of the device. After pouring water and soap into the device you close the lid and press power. It then cleans brushes for 15 minutes by moving them back and forth across the rubber pad on the bottom of the device.
The Lilumia goes through three different cycles: wash, rinse, and dry. After the rinse cycle, the device moves brushes back and forth to air dry and not damage the quality of brushes.
The device is launching this August online at lilumia.com.
