For a fledgling beauty brand, it's good to have Jean Zimmerman and Joe Gubernick in your corner. I-On Skincare, founded by Dr. Xi Huang, will debut next week on its website, but the brand already has the seal of approval from the ex-Chanel and Estée Lauder executives. Both serve as lead advisers for I-On. In previous lives, Zimmerman was executive vice president of Chanel Beauty and Gubernick was head of R&D and global chief marketing officer at Estée Lauder. The team also includes CEO Missy Godfrey, who had been with SpaFinder Wellness and Social Flow.
I-On Skincare is billed as the only line of "clean" skin care products on the market that removes excess iron from the skin. According to I-On, excess iron is the root cause of aging. The proprietary technology, dubbed De-Ironizing Inducer Technology, is a blend of vitamin C, which draws out iron, and pearl powder to neutralize it. In a clinical study, 100% of participants agreed they had "softer and more hydrated" skin. Furthermore, 84% said they had reduced fine lines in the mouth area and 77% said they had reduced fine lines in the eye area. The first products in the line are Age Disrupting skin cream and Age Disrupting Total Performance eye cream. Prices range from $80 to $125.
