A San Francisco, CA company behind a topical supplement designed to extend skin's lifespan on a molecular level, improving skin health and strength, is among the four finalists in P&G Ventures Innovation Challenge, which will be held online on July 14.
One Skin will be represented by Co-Founder Juliana Carvalho in the competition. She will compete against NanoSpun Technologies, a Los Altos, CA firm that develops and produces live-active biological tissues for skincare, medical and industrial applications; Ready, Set, Food!, Los Angeles, CA, which focuses on early allergen introduction; and Wellesley Pharmaceuticals, Newtown Grant, PA, which developed a pill called Nocturol that is designed to provide eighthours of protection for those who suffer from frequent bathroom trips overnight.
One Skin touts a proprietary peptide, OS-01, that it says has been shown to rejuvenate skin on a molecular level and effectively treat the negative implications of aging.
The finalists will make their pitch to a panel that includes Alex Betancourt, vice president, P&G Ventures; Anu Duggal, founding partner, Female Founders Fund; Mike Jensen, SVP of R&D, P&G Ventures; Michael Olmstead, chief revenue officer, Plug and Play; and Clarence Wooten, co-founder and general partner, Revitalize Venture Studio.
The winner will receive a $10,000 prize and the opportunity to continue developing their product with P&G Ventures.
