After years in development, the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) in the UK is delighted to announce the launch of its new SCS Introduction to Cosmetic Science course. This introductory course is designed for people who don’t have academic qualifications in scientific subjects, such as chemistry, but who are interested in the fundamentals of cosmetic science for either their work or as a consumer, said SCS.
Created by industry experts for the SCS, this course:
• Provides trustworthy information, written by leading cosmetic scientists.
• Is an interactive, app-based course available on mobile, tablet and computer designed for flexible learning. Study can be whenever and wherever you want.
• Offers five modules covering skin care, hair care, color cosmetics, nail care and oral care.
• Teaches cosmetic science in an approachable manner that does not require a scientific background. For anyone wanting to refresh their GCSE chemistry knowledge, there is also a separate revision guide available on the app.
• Is available worldwide at an accessible price and includes a digital certificate and badge upon successful completion.
“This is an incredible opportunity for anyone wishing to further their cosmetic education, it could even be the start of a new career. All instantly available in the palm of your hand," said Sam Farmer, president of SCS.
